Johna LaRue

Johna LaRue


Johna LaRue was born in Everett, Washington, and has spent most of her life in western Washington. She began her career in the financial industry in 2001 at a credit union near Fort Hood, Texas, where she lived for three years with her husband who was stationed there while serving in the Army. While working there, she served and cross-trained in a variety of positions to help diversify her experience.

Because of the knowledge she gained from working in so many different departments, Johna eventually found herself in the realm of financial counseling. Her experience, along with her human services degree from Tacoma Community College, allowed her to take a deeper look into one’s financial history and determine which options would be beneficial. Now Johna also holds a HERO certification.

For Johna, the most important part of her job is teaching people not to be afraid of money and to be successful if they learn how to hold the reins, even if their income is on the lower side. She knows that it can be challenging, and she’s here to help!

When she isn’t counseling, Johna enjoys spending time with her family and experiencing the great outdoors. She is also an avid fan of Seattle sports teams.

Kaylee Spancic


Originally from Painesville, Ohio, Kaylee Spancic moved to Washington in 1995 with her husband and stayed here for two years before moving to Buffalo, New York, to be closer to their families. After missing the Evergreen state for a few years, they decided to pack up their family and move back here in August of 2004.

Kaylee began her career in 1990 when she accepted a job as a part-time teller. Over the next few years, she gained experience in a number of areas at her financial institution. Eventually, she became the CEO of a small credit union in Niagara Falls, New York. As CEO, she gained a wealth of knowledge and experience that few people have the opportunity to receive.

Aside from her hands-on experience, Kaylee has her HERO certification.  She has also attended seminars and classes that are rooted in financial advocacy. She has helped people through every stage in life, and it’s something that she has a great passion for.

When asked about the most important part of her work, Kaylee simply says, “Everything.” She loves helping and working with members, and she knows that a crucial part of this is treating everyone with kindness and respect and learning all she can. Her number-one goal is to help others and improve their circumstances.

Outside of the Tulip office, Kaylee loves to spend quality time with her family. She also enjoys boating and kayaking (especially in the boats and kayaks her husband builds!) on Puget Sound.
